It was basket day today. Here's what we got this round:
Broccoli
Chard
White cheddar
Colby
Milk
Eggs
Mustard Greens
Collard Greens
Lemon Cukes
Regular Cukes
Shitakes
Strawberry-Champagne Vinagrette
Basil
Blackberries
Blueberries
Peaches
Good stuff! I can totally see us going for the BAM program throughout the year. It's a great way to support Arkansas farmers, and it certainly gets folks to try new produce. If I can't raid mom and dad's garden every month, I can at least get my basket!

Here she is--you can see the back of her granny's head behind her, and the beaming mother in the background. When I was on the way home from Flint, Michelle had Natalia. Pretty cute, huh? I'm glad to be a great-aunt once again, and I need to get on the toy buying, really. Ever since Michelle, Anthony, and Ben have turned into adults, I've missed the kid stuff. Now, Deb's a grandma! I'm in Flint, MI tonight, and will be here until the day after graduation at Baker. Having a lovely time reconnecting with some longtime friend(s) (the aren't "old" and one is a long-time friend; the others are newer friends) and colleagues. This year is much better in terms of getting settled in and schmoozing. I worked out my live class schedule so it was done before I left today (last year was a nightmare in the live chat area). |
