We got another basket today!
Sweet potatoes
Watermelon (I wonder if it will hold for a couple of weeks for the chile roasting party? Of course, we just finished the sugar baby we bought last week, so I might crack this one open. I can't wait.)
Brown rice
Milk
Cheese (yellow and white cheddar)
Bacon (already made BLTs once.)
Salad Mix
Bread (a nice multigrain loaf from Boulevard)
Cucumbers
Marconi Peppers (a sweet Italian red)
Purple Hull peas
Mars Grapes
We also stopped by some of the other booths and got peaches, a couple of apples, some squash, arugula, radishes. I think that's it :)
In other news, we went to boil water on one of our two working burners the other day, and it caught on fire. So, that leaves us with one working "eye" on the old green push button GE range. So, guess who just ordered a new range? Problem is, it wasn't cheap--we have a drop in that is 27 inches, while most kitchens have 30 inch drop in slots. That means we had a GE Model to choose and it costs a bit more than the larger ones, go figure. I guess it's cheaper, though, than gutting the kitchen to put in a 30 inch range, and at least I'll have a better range.
Between the sewer pipe, the range, taxes, new tires, and other incidentals over the last few months, I'm ready to stop writing big checks. Really I am.
